01  |  Collaborations

Some of my favourite projects during my time as All About Kombucha's Marketing, Branding and Community Manager were the brand collaborations I orchestrated start-to-finish.

Scope: Created content strategies to market new, unique kombucha flavours in collaboration with Irish small businesses and distinguished industry leaders, including: The Dough Bros [Voted No.1 Takeaway Pizza in Europe], Kai [Jess Murphy, Michelin Green Star] and Spice Vintage [Founded by Eco Warrior + Irish Influencer Grace Collier].

I also conceptualised, designed, printed and photographed product labels, as well as accompanying marketing touch points (highlighted below), for each of the different launch campaigns.

TEAM + PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY. I organised and directed photoshoots prior to the announcement of the new flavour. This was to further promote the story of the successful young entrepreneurs from Galway, and their passion behind working together.

CUSTOM PROMOTIONAL COASTERS were included in every DIY Dough Bros pizza kit sold during the collaboration. One side educated consumers on All About Kombucha, the specialty kombucha flavour and the health benefits of the drink. The other highlighted The Dough Bros and their award-winning pie!

CUSTOM LABELS to dress every bottle of the limited edition drink, which were then sold in storefronts across Galway (including The Dough Bros' award-winning restaurant), as well as online. I was most excited about the tiny cap stickers I designed with Dough Bros' notable moustache icons, which form the logo for the famous pizzeria (see below). I even helped to hand-bottle, hand-label and package orders of the specialty flavour with the brewery team. Fun fact – production work was just as much a part of my job description as marketing in the early days, before we grew our brewery team! These were some of my favourite days on the job.

COLLAB POSTERS explaining the connection between the two brands, and where to learn more about them – to be distributed in DIY Dough Bros Pizza Kits. The brick background was inspired by the equally notable white brick wall in The Dough Bros' restaurant. On that same brick wall, they too have 'House Rules,' which inspired the list of additional asks on the back of the poster, paying homage to their beloved space in Galway.

This was a transformative moment for All About Kombucha, and one of the first projects I led as their solo creative on the team. I met the Dough Bros on one of my first days of work at the company. I pitched my vision for the collaboration, what it could include, touch points I could design, and how both parties could market the flavour for optimal sales success.

The flavour was seen across the West of Ireland as a delicious success. We had to brew three times the amount of the flavour than initially anticipated because people could. not. get. enough. It also solidified All About Kombucha's standing as Ireland's Most Popular Kombucha brand, according to social media following.

02  |  Kai Collab

It was only fitting that my final project with All About Kombucha was another collaborative label design, this time with Michelin Chef Jess Murphy, the Co-Owner and Head Chef of Kai Restaurant in Galway.

Bottles of the limited edition Blackcurrant and Lemon Geranium organic kombucha are now available in restaurants across the country!

We wanted to incorporate bright colours in celebration of the brightest 'booch we'd brewed yet, and to highlight the fresh and foraged flavours waiting inside the bottle. This was one of my most detailed designs to date. Many thanks to Ciara Coogan for sharing her original Kai House illustration to help create this digital homage to the iconic Andy Warhol – per the collaborators' request.

MENU INSERT options designed to be included in Kai's trifold table menus at their restaurant for the duration of the collaboration. My vision was to continue to play creatively with the concept that this bottle label, as well as the drink inside, was a true 'piece of art'; hence the signatures included across the printout once again, as well as the canvas-like background.

Upon the release of the collaboration, my old friends at All About X Kai sent me a case of the kombucha! I pulled out my Canon at home and took some product images of my little label 'in the wild..'

03  |  Spice Collab

I love event planning and execution. Over the years, I've worked on teams that managed the interior design, ticket sales, recruiting, marketing, hosting and/or entertainment for events and SMBs worldwide.

I was fortunate enough to be the Creative Director of the All About Kombucha X Spice Vintage collaboration, as well as the lead coordinator for a 'booch team appearance' at Spice Vintage's first Pop Up Shop experience in Dublin last spring.

This was a valuable brand awareness event, in front of an audience that was in line with All About Kombucha's target following – individuals interested in sustainability, conscious about food sourcing and production, and eager to support a small Irish business.

Design touch points included: Custom bottle labels, designed in collaboration with Spice's graphic designer Georgia Mai; sustainable sewing kits, to be distributed in customer shopping bags at the pop-up event; and a branded banner to adorn our zero-waste, portable kombucha bar that acted as our home base throughout the event.

While there, I doubled as the event photographer and head saleswoman for All About Kombucha. Some of the event and product shots are featured below!

All About Kombucha Sauna and Swim Community Day

04  |  Community Days

I was also entrusted with leading the planning, coordination and marketing for monthly brand 'Community Days' over the course of my time with All About. These were centered around our goal (as a business) to extend the sense of community we felt inside the organisation, beyond the brewery walls.

Each event was strategically rooted in one of the company's values. The photos included here highlight two of my favourite Community Days – a 'Sauna + Swim' daytime event and an evening of local artists and live music at one of Galway's favourite coffee spots, Murray's.

Independent duties included advertising events across socials, as well as opening event registration on Eventbrite. In the days leading up to the events, I was also designing, printing, cutting out, and hanging custom designs for additional advertisement and 'community interaction' at the venues; some of these included booth banners, signage and exclusive discount coupons. In addition, I was the main correspondant with local businesses and artistic acts we collaborated with over the duration of the season.

I always played a key role in the events themselves, which was never much of a hard ask. The themed occasions were events we would have wanted to participate in anyways. I was a hostess, saleswoman, event photographer and real-time social media manager.

05  |  Merchandise

For my first event as a member of All About Kombucha – Taste of Dublin, September 2021 – I was tasked with designing team t-shirts, to be worn working at our festival food stall.

I designed the first round of tees to serve three main purposes: 1) clearly tell attendees our company name, 2) teach people a bit more about what we really do at All About Kombucha, and 3) stand out from the rest of the crowd.

It was a fairly literal approach – featuring the words 'We Brew Booch' and a fermentor jar drawing. The tees proved effective for a large audience (20,000+ guests) – where many did not know what kombucha was, while others were esteemed chefs or brewers themselves. The pop of pink, paired with our lively tent, continued to highlight our approachability as a team while maintaining uniformity and a touch of formality.

Not long after, we realised that by adhering to what we thought was initially a fairly successful, simple design, we did not really make a shirt that appealed to the masses.

The second round of designs leaned into our company's Irish roots instead, incorporating the native language as the business was 'born and brewed in the Ghaeltacht'.

While pink was always a team favourite, we also rolled out a blue design this time, to maximise the amount of followers who might want to support our startup in style.
